Established in 1831, the suburb of Inglewood has a wealth of heritage, with numerous places of cultural and historical significance. The majority of residences in Inglewood are of pre-war vintage (many are of a Federation or Californian bungalow style). Many of the older residences have been renovated and restored to their original styles. In addition to character housing, there are older and newer style apartments and units developments scattered throughout the suburb. With its diverse demographic and popular café culture, Inglewood offers all the allure of city living, yet stilling retaining its real sense of community.

Inglewood is located only 5km from Perth’s central business district. Public transport is quick and easy with frequent bus from the front of the development on Walter Road West. Alternatively rail transport is also within a very comfortable distance.

Shopping The Beaufort Street shopping precinct is the heart of Inglewood. Here there is a array of retail and professional with shops that cater for daily needs and only minutes from your doorstep. Or, if retail on a grander scale is more your style, Galleria Shopping Centre is less than 4 kms away.

Local Amenities

With its popular cafe and restaurant scene, Inglewood serves it locals well with a wide range cafés restaurants diners and pubs. Beyond the eateries, Inglewood contains many recreational facilities, including the Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre, Mount Lawley Golf Course and a short walk to Macaulay Park, where there are facilities to play tennis and soccer, as well as bocce. Inglewood and its immediate surrounding suburbs cater for a mix of both private and public secondary primary and secondary colleges and of course the Mount Lawley Campus of Edith Cowan University is a 2 minute drive or a very comfortable 20 min walk.
